Parent/child Art Journaling (1 morning)

Art journaling is a tool for developing centredness through the outward expression of art. It combines the written word with pictures and patterns, and it is great for recording thoughts and experiences without judgement or measured outcome.

“My journal doesn’t judge me. It provides a safe place for all of me.”

It is rare to find a workshop that caters for two distinct generations in its approach, yet this is exactly the purpose of parent and child art journaling; to come to an activity together to share the benefits of youth and age, and to share creative time both selfishly and inclusively with our families and friends. You are able to bring more than one child per adult.

What to Expect

This playful workshop can be a testing ground for experimenting with new art materials and techniques. There will be simple exercises to guide your creativity. Children will be able to connect with each other and parents/carers will be able to communicate with others of their generation whilst encouraging their own children’s creativity.
