Our Code of Conduct applies to all members of the society, as well as participants in our workshops and classes. You can download a copy here: Our Code of Conduct
For Workshop + Class Participants
By signing up to the above/ following workshop at BARTS, you agree to:
1) Treat all participants, instructors, and volunteers with respect and courtesy, regardless of their role or background;
2) Engage actively in the workshop activities, while respecting the learning environment and the contributions of others and avoiding disruptive or disrespectful behaviours;
3) Comply with any reasonable directions of the instructor;
4) Use workshop materials responsibly and clean up after yourself;
5) Arrive on time for the workshop and any scheduled breaks, and be mindful of the time constraint;
6) Comply with any applicable BARTS’ policies and procedures;
7) Be mindful of safety guidelines and procedures, and report any concerns or incidents to the instructor or BARTS
In the event of any breach of the above code of conduct, BARTS Management Committee reserves its rights to cancel your registration and/or remove you from participation at future workshops or events.
For Members
By signing up for BARTS’ membership, you agree to:
1) Act in BARTS’s best interests;
2) Act with courtesy, respect and without harassment of any kind in all dealings involving other members of BARTS or public members attending BARTS’s events;
3) Refrain from engaging in any conduct which might damage BARTS’s reputation;
4) Refrain from engaging in any illegal activity or activity which could constitute a threat to public health or safety;
5) Carry out tasks or duties assigned to you by BARTS Management Committee diligently and responsibly;
6) Comply with any lawful and reasonable directions of the BARTS Management Committee, including those set out in policies and procedures from time to time;
7) Disclose fully and honestly all membership information required by BARTS;
8) Maintain appropriate confidentiality;
9) Use BARTS's resources in a responsible manner;
10) Refrain from misrepresenting or publishing misleading information about any BARTS’s positions;
11) Comply with any applicable BARTS’s policies;
12) Use any authority delegated to them by BARTS Management Committee appropriately and within its limits.
In the event of any breach of the above code of conduct, BARTS Management Committee reserves its rights to decline your application or cancel the membership or engage in disciplinary procedures in accordance with the Constitution of BARTS.
