 ARTIST'S STATEMENT

These paintings are about the places I love, particularly the Australian deserts, Tanami, Simpson, Great Sandy and Gibson in WA, and the mountains and bushlands, and the space and distance and colours of Australia.They are my impressions of this lucky country.Thanks for looking..........

Born Cootamundra, NSW. Sculpted in wood, stone and  metal from about 1960. Numerous sculpture exhibitions Sydney, Canberra and Blue Mountains 1964 to1982. Turned to painting 1978 .Solo exhibitions of watercolours from  1981 to the present in Sydney, Canberra, Blue Mountains, London, Adelaide, Melbourne, Gold Coast. Works in collections of Reserve Bank, former Commonwealth Art Advisory Board, Barclays Bank, ANU, and private collections in UK, Hong Kong, France,, Australia.
