ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Carole has had a passionate interest in photography for over 30 years.

Besides a BA Honours in History of Art and English Literature, she received a Masters in South Asian Studies from SOAS (London University) in 1983 and moved to Australia in the same year.

She was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Visual Arts majoring in Photography in 1986 from Sydney College of the Arts.

She has had photographic exhibitions both here and overseas and also contributed many articles on photography and writing to magazines such as Photofile, Eyeline, Art Monthly, Editions Reviw, The Sydney Morning Herald and the Blue Mountains Gazette.

Her latest solo show, 'Of Dance and Dreams', was held at Event Horizon Gallery in Katoomba in June 2010.

She is also author of the popular publication, 'Artists Observed: Blue Mountains Artists Close Up', a book in which her photographs are also featured.
